Reuters media reporter moves to WSJ

Robert MacMillan, who has covered the media business for the Reuters news service, is leaving for a similar job at The Wall Street Journal, according to a post on the Jossip web site.

The note stated, “In an email to colleagues, he writes that heâ€™s becoming ‘their publishing beat reporter, which means I will continue to write about the business of and the future of journalism. I have no contact information yet, but will write when I do.’ He starts February 4.”

MacMillan gained fame among business journalists back in September when he attempted to interview News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch. Here is what happened. Now, MurdochÂ will beÂ his boss.
