The channel will be available in English for streaming in more than 40 European territories, including the France, Germany, Italy, Nordics, The Netherlands, Spain and United Kingdom.
Reuters global video coverage will be available around the clock in 30-minute feeds, enabling Rakuten TV users to consume news reports from around the world. Reuters news will feature packaged video segments, with each story presented in 2- to 3-minute clips.
“We are delighted to extend our OTT media offering and join Rakuten TV to deliver a wide range of global and impartial news coverage to users across Europe,” said Josh London, chief marketing officer and head of Reuters Professional, in a statement.
The latest launch on Rakuten TV builds on its offerings, which includes dedicated Reuters channels on Roku and Plex and on audio devices including Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
