Reuters has hired Wall Street Journal reporter Ira Iosebashvili to be an editor on its U.S. markets team.

He starts Monday.

He has been a foreign exchange and commodities reporter for The Journal since August 2012. Before that, Iosebashvili covered the economy for three years for the paper.

In that job, he covered the Russian ruble, oil prices, and Kremlin policy that frequently moved asset prices and were widely reproduced by competitors. He also covered the actions of the Central Bank, Finance Ministry, and State State Statistics Service.
