Laura Sanicola, a reporter by Insurance Insider, a trade publication at Euromoney Institutional Investor, has been hired by Reuters to be an energy reporter.
She will start on Sept. 4. At Insurance Insider, she wrote about energy insurance, specifically insurance bought by U.S. oil refineries.
Sanicola has also previously worked for CNNMoney as an associate writer for MoneyStream, its business news app.
Sanicola is a graduate of Fordham University where she studied international political economy and was the editor in chief of the student newspaper, The Fordham Ram. She interned at ABC News’ investigative unit from January through April 2017.
She also was a Dow Jones News Fund business reporting intern at TheStreet. She has been published by CNBC.com, The New York Daily News, USA Today, InvestmentNews, Crain’s Wealth, TheStreet, and Yahoo Finance.
