Sal Rodriguez of Inc. magazine has been hired by Reuters to cover the tech industry in its San Francisco bureau.
His last at Inc. will be May 4. His first day at Reuters will be May 16.
Rodriguez will be reporting on enterprise software and the cloud.
“This is an awesome opportunity to grow as a reporter and work alongside some of the finest journalists I know, including a reunion with my old Downtown Devil buddy Dustin Volz,” wrote Rodriguez on Facebook.
Rodriguez has previously covered the tech industry for the International Business Times and the Los Angeles Times, and he has contributed pieces to Vice, Digital Trends and the Federal Times, among others.
Rodriguez was born in Mexico, grew up in Texas and received his journalism training at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University in Phoenix.
There, he earned his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in journalism and completed a specialization in business reporting.
During his college years, Rodriguez interned for the New York Times in Arizona, the Arizona Republic and the Houston Chronicle.
