Reuters hires Lindsey to be Washington editor at large

Thomson Reuters announced Wednesday that one of Washington’s most accomplished journalists, David Lindsey, will be joining Reuters as Washington editor-at-large, focusing on the top political and policy stories of the day, including the 2012 Elections.

Lindsey comes to Reuters after more than a decade at USA Today, where he was first national editor and then, since 2007, cover story editor, overseeing the newspaper’s premier enterprise package each day for print, online and mobile.

Before that he had a 13-year career at The Washington Post, where he served as DC and Virginia political editor, metro editor and reporter on Capitol Hill, among other assignments.

Lindsey has a proven talent for making top stories journalistically strong, visually appealing and targeted to core audiences. He will report to Washington bureau chief Mary Milliken.
