Reuters hires Hunnicutt to cover ETFs/investments

Wall Street editor Linda Stern of Reuters sent out the following hiring announcement on Monday:

I’m delighted to report that Trevor Hunnicutt  joins the markets team today as ETF/investments correspondent.  He will cover ETFs and Blackrock,  and generally contribute to the broader markets team coverage of investment flows among sectors, regions assets, companies and individuals.

Trevor joins us from InvestmentNews, where he covered all aspects of the ETF and funds industry, from Bill Gross’s notorious departure from Pimco to how the last flash crash was an ETF phenomenon. Prior to working at InvestmentNews, he was an intern on the Wealth and Personal Finance Team here at Thomson Reuters.  I’m personally happy to be working with him a second time.

His background is impressive, not least because of his demonstrated dedication to journalism:  During a stint at the Point Reyes Light, Trevor was the paper’s only reporter – and also delivered it throughout the rural community he covered.  Originally from San Francisco, he graduated from Pomona College and went on to get his master’s at London School of Economics, where he focused on monetary policy, international law and international relations theory.
