Reuters hires global executive producer

The following announcement was sent out Monday by Chris Cramer, global editor of multimedia for Reuters, to the staff:

“I am pleased to tell you that Barclay Palmer is to join the multimedia management team as our new Global Executive Producer for Talent and Content Development.

Barclay is currently Senior Producer for the Amanpour show on CNN, which has ended its run because Christiane Amanpour is heading to ABC News.

“Barclay has been at CNN for 18 years, during which time he has worked in Newsgathering, in Financial News and has produced on shows such as Moneyline, CNN and Fortune and Newsstand and played senior roles at both NewsNight with Aaron Brown and Anderson Cooper 360. He has won multiple awards for programming and newsgathering and has a distinguished track record in show creation and talent development.

“We are lucky to have him here. Barclay joins us in New York on June 1st.”
