Reuters hires El Safty to cover Middle East commodities

Sarah El Safty

Sarah El Safty has joined Reuters to cover the commodities beat in the Middle East.

Recently, she was a research reporter at Forbes Middle East.

She has also interned at Bloomberg and was an economic analyst at Delta Research Center in Egypt. She was also a business writer at Inktank Communications sister company, Enterprise MEA, which produced daily reporting on business and finance in Cairo.

El Safty has a B.A. in economics and multimedia journalism from American University in Cairo and has a master’s degree in journalism from University of California, Berkeley.
