TALKING BIZ NEWS EXCLUSIVE
Emily Chasan, the senior hedge fund correspondent for Reuters in New York, has resigned from the wire service to accept a job at The Wall Street Journal, three sources at Reuters confirmed to Talking Biz News.
Chasan will be a senior editor at CFO Journal, The Journal’s forthcoming site for corporate finance executives.
Chasan joined Reuters in 2004, and she received the Reuters company news reporter of the year award in 2008. She was also named to the 30 under 30 in 2007 by NewsBios.
Chasan attended Tufts University, where she majored in international relations and economics. She worked as an associate editor of the campus newspaper and interned for The Journal.
Reuters published a special report on Thursday written by Chasan about how some investors are demanding more from hedge fund operators before putting their money into the funds. You can read it here.
