Alisa Bowen, a current Thomson Reuters executive, has been named general manager of The Wall Street Journal Digital Network, the company’s consumer digital business group.
“We have a large, fast-growing, digital business with high expectations for continued growth. Alisa has the background and skill to expand the digital potential of our current brands and to continue to pioneer new products and platforms to help us achieve our goals,” said Todd Larsen, president of Dow Jones, in a statement.
WSJ.com and other digital Dow Jones products count more than 1.1 million paying subscribers and attract premium advertising to their affluent and influential reader demographic. In the most recent quarter, digital ad revenue at the Journal jumped 29 percent.
Bowen, who joins Dow Jones on Dec. 13, had been senior vice president and head of business operations, Reuters Media, at Thomson Reuters.
