Jeffrey Goldfarb, the U.S. editor for Reuters Breakingviews, sent out the following announcement:
Colleagues –
I am delighted to announce that Sara Silver will be joining us as a columnist in New York.
With some two decades of business journalism experience, Sara comes to us well-suited for financial commentary. At the Wall Street Journal, she covered the booms and busts of the U.S. telecom industry. Before that, Sara was based in Mexico, writing about energy, trade and politics for the Financial Times. She also worked for the Associated Press and has contributed to The Economist, the BBC and other outlets. Most recently, Sara produced research for a corporate carbon-pricing project funded by the World Bank and MacArthur Foundation.
Sara is as fluent in Excel as she is in Spanish, holds masters degrees in both business and journalism from Columbia University and attended Yale for her undergraduate studies.
She is due to start with us on July 25 and will focus initially on the U.S. telecommunications sector and companies in Latin America.
Please join me in welcoming Sara to the team.
