Reuters America service names editor

Reuters announced Tuesday the appointment of Peter Bohan as editor, Reuters America Service, the flagship domestic news offering for U.S. publishers and broadcasters.

In his new role, Bohan will lead Reuters America Service in producing top local news of national interest in the U.S. every day.

Bohan has been with Reuters since 1983 and has worked as a correspondent in Chicago, editor in Hong Kong, and bureau chief in Singapore and the U.S. Midwest. A native of Galesburg, Ill., he has spent the last six years focused on news in the Midwest for Reuters domestic and international clients.

Most recently, he has been the Midwest bureau chief.
