Rest of World, a news organization examining the impact of technology beyond the Western bubble, has hired Michael Zelenko as deputy editor.
“I’m super looking forward to having Michael join our arsenal of editors in New York,” wrote executive editor Anup Kaphle on Twitter.
Zelenko was executive editor at Medium and previously features editor and features director.
Before Medium, he worked at The Verge as a features editor for more than four years.
He was also editor at large at Bullett Magazine and an assistant editor at McSweeney’s.
