Thursday, for instance, CNBC airs a ‘CNBC Retail Summit,’ a day-long focus on sales tied to new figures from chain stores.
“Jarvis will set up shop at the Mall of America. Margaret Brennan will be in a New Jersey mall, and Jane Wells will be at Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, Calif.
“‘There’s been a new [financial term] every single day,’ Jarvis said of the changing economy.
“‘There’s been a lot to cover and no shortage of news. From the same perspective, as you are covering stuff it turns the stomachs [of people] who are living it.'”
