Bloomberg News reporter Brian Chappatta is moving to Bloomberg Opinion to write about the bond market.
His new position starts after Memorial Day.
Chappatta has been covering the $14.9 trillion U.S. Treasury market, central bank interest-rate policies and bond markets across the world. He frequently wrote Bloomberg News’s weekly bond-market feature story, known as the “Greet” for its terminal code.
He previously interned on the commodities team at Bloomberg in Chicago.
Chappatta is a CFA charterholder, passing all three CFA exams on his first attempt from 2012 to 2015. He graduated from Northwestern University in March 2011, receiving a Bachelor of Science in journalism, with a double major in economics and a certificate in integrated marketing communications.
While in college, he worked for The Daily Northwestern.
