Reorg hires Carnevali as senior editor to develop new product

Reorg has hired David Carnevali as a senior editor.

He started on Monday and will be developing a platform at Reorg within an existing product, Reorg M&A, focused on providing breaking news content on mergers and acquisitions and activism in the U.S. market.

Carnevali will be recruiting and managing a team of journalists, as well as working closely with the research, marketing and commercial teams of Reorg to develop and establish the product in a highly competitive industry. He will also be involved in reporting on some situations and deals.

Carnevali was most recently head of strategic activism and M&A at ActivistMonitor, an Acuris publication. He was also a senior reporter there.

He also spent more than two years at DealReporter, another Acuris publication, in London as a reporter.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
