Andy Reinhardt, who worked at BusinessWeek magazine and Bloomberg News, has been hired as politics editor at the San Francisco Chronicle.
Reinhardt was with BusinessWeek from 1996 through its acquisition by Bloomberg in 2009. starting as a tech correspondent in San Francisco.
He then moved to Paris to become a senior tech correspondent and then launched the Europe section on Businessweek.com.
Reinhardt then moved to Bloomberg News, where he was U.S. and Europe, Middle East and Africa editor for Bloomberg.com. He also launched “The Good Life” lifestyle/luxury channel (a predecessor to Bloomberg Pursuits) and wrote/edited the European Evening Briefing.
He was also an editor for Bloomberg Quicktakes.
