Reingold leaving Fortune for search firm

Jennifer Reingold

Jennifer Reingold, an editor at large at Fortune and co-chair of its Most Powerful Women Summit, is leaving the business publication after 10 years.

Reingold, whose last day is Jan. 10, will start Feb. 1 as global head of content at Egon Zehnder International, an executive search firm.

Reingold has been at Fortune since January 2007. Along with Peter Elkind and Doris Burke, she won a Loeb Award in 2012 in the magazine category for “Inside Pfizer’s Palace Coup.” She has also won the Henry Luce award, the Deadline Club award, and the Society of American Business Editors and Writers award for investigative reporting.

She was also a senior writer at Fast Company from June 2003 to November 2006 and an associate editor at BusinessWeek from December 1995 to May 2000. She is also the co-author of two books: “Confessions of A Wall Street Analyst” (Collins, 2006) with Dan Reingold and “Final Accounting: Ambition, Greed, and the fall of Arthur Andersen” (Broadway, 2003) with Barbara Ley Toffler.

Reingold has a bachelor’s degree in international politics from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in international studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
