Jodi Schwan, the editor of the Sioux Falls Business Journal, writes about layoffs at the Gannett paper, including one of her key employees.
Schwan writes, “This week’s staff reduction included longtime Sioux Falls Business Journal producer Rosemary McCoy. She had been with the Business Journal since 2004, and she was my proverbial right arm behind the scenes for the past five years.
“None of us builds a brand alone. I would not have been able to become the journalist I am without her, and the Business Journal wouldn’t be what it is, either. I can’t thank her enough.
“Additionally, I need to recognize the contributions all of my former colleagues made to Argus Leader Media. I can comfortably tell you to hire any one of them, and your organization would have a valuable addition.”
