Stephanie Rebman has been promoted to editor-in-chief of the Birmingham Business Journal, reports Angel Coker of the Business Journal.
Coker reports, “Rebman joined the BBJ in 2016 as managing editor after previously serving as editor-in-chief of the Oxford Eagle in Mississippi. Prior roles include night editor and assistant copy desk chief with the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal in Tupelo, Mississippi, weeklies editor for the Carrollton Times-Georgian in Carrollton, Georgia, and reporter and news editor with Tallapoosa Publishers in Alexander City.
“‘Stephanie has done a great job during her time at the BBJ, and we’re excited she is taking on this new opportunity to lead our editorial operations,’ said Joel Welker, BBJ market president and publisher.
“As managing editor, Rebman led the day-to-day operations of an award-winning newsroom, which includes multiple years of record showings in the Alabama Press Association’s Media Awards.”
