Real Vision hires CNBC producer Rosenberg as editor in chief

Real Vision has hired CNBC producer Alex Rosenberg as its editor in chief as part of a broader expansion strategy.

Rosenberg, who will oversee Real Vision’s editorial efforts, served as the digital writer and editor for CNBC’s “Trading Nation,” “Futures Now” and “Options Action.”

Real Vision has also hired Roger Hirst as managing editor. Hirst has 20 years of experience writing market reports for investment banks such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank.

Todd Tarpley has also been hired as senior vice president of operations. He is a digital media veteran of Time Inc., Meredith Corp. and A+E who will oversee Real Vision’s New York studio and office.

“With our most recent additions and promotions, Real Vision now has one of the most diversely skilled and talented leadership teams in financial media,” said Raoul Pal, co-founder of Real Vision, in a statement. “With their fresh thinking we will continue to challenge stale, soundbite-driven, old school media and provide our viewers access to the best financial and business content available.”

Real Vision, which interviews well-known investors and produces content about investing, offers subscription-based on-demand television, written research and podcasts. It has thousands of subscribers.

The company’s videos are available on Real Vision’s website, on platforms such as Apple TV and Chromecast, and through the Reuters Insider online platform.
