I’m happy to announce that Matt Quinn is joining us next Monday as deputy news editor for technology and finance in New York.
In this role, Matt will work closely with Matt Phillips and Dan Frommer and their reporting teams. His mandate is to work with our tech and finance journalists globally to help them do their greatest work, and to also allow Matt and Dan to free up bandwidth for their own excellent, signature writing contributions.
Matt comes from Advertising Age, where he has been executive editor for the past two years. He was previously editor of CFO Journal at the Wall Street Journal, and has held writing and editing positions with Crain’s Financial Week, Inc. magazine, and American Banker. Prior to journalism, he was a financial analyst with Wenner Media, publisher of Rolling Stone, Us Weekly and Men’s Journal. Matt has a master’s in business journalism from New York University and an undergraduate degree in economics from Holy Cross. You can follow him at @MattQuinn16
From his time at the Journal, I know Matt to be a smart editor with high standards who leads through generosity and hard work. His arrival is an investment in the ongoing growth of our team, and signal of our ambitions for tech, finance, management and corporate coverage.
Please join me in welcoming him.
