Quartz names second professional in residence

Lisa Shalett has been Quartz’s professional in residence, the second person to hold that position.

Shalett is a former Goldman Sachs partner and global head of Brand Marketing & Digital Strategy, in which she managed Goldman’s brand during the financial crisis.

The Quartz in Residence program, which first launched as an experiment in September 2016 to encourage strategic relationships and idea sharing between Quartz employees and individuals doing interesting work, has evolved to become an important part of Quartz’s strategy as it expands its products, offerings, and innovations in its fourth year.

Shalett joins Khe Hy, Quartz’s first professional in residence.

Hy spent eight years as a managing director at BlackRock before joining Quartz to advise on strategic matters, write about productivity and the nature of work, and work on special projects. In a similar capacity, Shalett will serve as an advisor to Quartz’s upcoming initiatives.
