Quartz managing editor Bobby Ghosh is becoming editor-in-chief at the Hindustan Times in India, reports Sruthijith KK of HuffPost India.
In an email to Talking Biz News, Ghosh wrote, “I’m going to wait for a formal announcement from my next employer before commenting. Should be a couple of days, no more.”
The HuffPost India story states, “He will replace Sanjoy Narayan, who has held the top job at India’s third most circulated English daily since 2008.
“‘We can confirm that Sanjoy is leaving in June. Bobby is one of the people we have met with,’ a spokesperson for HT Media said.
“Ghosh is currently managing editor at Quartz, the business news publication from Atlantic Media. On Friday, editor-in-chief Kevin Delaney announced in an internal memo that Ghosh was leaving to take up a job that ‘he can’t yet disclose’. This is his last week at Quartz.”
