QuartzQuartz editor in chief Kevin Delaney sent out the following staff hiring announcement on Thursday:

I’m very happy to announce the following additions to our editorial staff:

Olivia Goldhill started this past week as our weekend writer, working Thursdays through Mondays. Olivia is temporarily working from London, and moving to NYC around early October. She previously worked for the Telegraph as a features writer, focused on digital pieces at the the short and long ends of the Quartz curve. She earlier was a business reporter, and a participant in a highly selective Telegraph fellowship program that gave her exposure to a range of beats. Olivia covered news for the Press Association and Media Wales, and wrote a travel guidebook to Bogota. She has a master’s in journalism from City University London and a bachelor’s in philosophy from Harvard. She’s already worked that philosophy training into some Quartz articles—impressive! Ana Campoy joins Quartz from Dallas starting on Sept. 14 as a reporter covering Latin America and general assignment US news. (She’ll be working from NYC for her first week.) Ana previously was a reporter for the Wall Street Journal, writing on news ranging from politics to natural disasters to Texas quirks such as suburban feral pigs. She previously wrote about the oil refining industry for the Journal.
