Financial news site Quartz has hired Carlos Mureithi to cover East Africa.
He replaces Abdi Latif Dahir, who left to join the New York Times.
Mureithi has been special projects producer and web producer for Daily Nation, a newspaper in Nairobi. He was also a contributing writer to the Times.
He was a graduate news reporting inern with Reuters in 2018. He holds a master’s degree from Cal-Berkeley and an undergraduate degree from United States International University.
