Quartz audience editor Molly Stier has left the financial news site and has joined MSNBC as a digital platforms editor.
At Quartz, she oversaw audience growth and engagement for the site’s paid membership program. Previously, she was the social media editor at The Daily Dot and a fact-checker at The Nation. She is from Texas, where she attended the University of Texas at Austin and ran a publication she created herself.
She has also worked in media production for Austin’s PBS affiliate station, provided research and bill text translations for non-profits focused on civic engagement, and dabbled in campaign work during Wendy Davis’ run for Texas governor in 2014.
