Emory Thomas Jr., publisher of the Puget Sound Business Journal, will be expanding his geographic oversight within parent company American City Business Journals to include other markets along with Seattle.
A story on the Business Journal website states, “The new position, vice president of local markets, becomes effective Sept. 15. Thomas and the company are beginning the search for a new PSBJ publisher immediately.
“With this move, Thomas becomes one of four publishers within ACBJ with oversight of multiple markets. The other publications Thomas will oversee, beyond PSBJ, have not been determined yet, but will be identified within the next several weeks. Thomas will remain in Seattle and based in the PSBJ offices.
“‘I’m exceedingly proud of the Puget Sound Business Journal’s strong and important place in this community, and am more committed than ever to continuing its momentum,’ Thomas said. ‘PSBJ has grown its audience, its subscribership and its business in recent years. I will do everything I can to help the new publisher in Seattle continue to enhance that growth, bringing PSBJ ideas and best practices from across the country.'”
