Gold reports, “Przybyla, a 16-year veteran of Bloomberg, will take on the role of senior political reporter at USA Today focusing on Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. While she was technically under the helm of Bloomberg News and based out of the D.C. bureau, Przybyla was a regular contributor to Bloomberg Politics and even guest hosted the John Heilemann-Mark Halperin TV show ‘With All Due Respect.’
“‘I had a wonderful career at Bloomberg,’ Przybyla said. ‘This is a really exciting opportunity to work with a great team at USA Today. Susan Page has always been one of my role models. And it’s a great national outlet that takes politics seriously.’
“Przybyla’s departure from Bloomberg follows the departures of Josh Topolsky, Jeanne Cummings and Dave Weigel, amid reports of tension between the D.C. bureau and the Heilemann-Halperin Bloomberg Politics project based in New York, and between Bloomberg Media and the editorial staff working for the main news report, which is distributed chiefly through Bloomberg’s terminal and subscription service.”
