Ian Spelling of 201 Magazine in New Jersey profiles Fox Business Network anchor Liz Claman about her job and what she likes about living in New Jersey.
“‘I would get up and say that Gabrielle’s mom or Julian’s mom talks on TV for a living as a journalist,’ Claman says. ‘I’d explain how I cover the stock market and how I talk about people’s money and how they can make more, save more and protect what they worked so hard for. And I’d guide them to go for their passion, whether that’s comic books or science or being a doctor or lawyer. I’d say whatever they’re passionate about, that should be their profession. That will lead them to success. And I was always passionate about journalism.’
“‘I’m really proud to be covering the financial crisis, because I have never sensed more fear and confusion from viewers about anything like this, which is ongoing and has a very long tail and continues to worry people. I’m honored to be someone who tries to help make heads or tails of it, tries to keep them calm, and tries to help them understand why they can’t rely on anybody but themselves to save, grow and protect their money. I’m honored to do that from a journalistic perspective.'”
