Protocol to launch enterprise tech coverage

Tech news site Protocol is starting next week a new coverage emphasis focused on enterprise technology.

It will feature a biweekly newsletter, news alerts and access to events and research.

“We believe this is enterprise tech’s moment and we intend to be at the center of it,” said Protocol president Tammy Wincup. “Enterprise tech is not only changing the landscape and growth prospects for businesses of all stripes, but how we as individual employees live, work, and operate. We feel it’s time to start covering the people, power and politics of enterprise tech different than others who have treated it simply as the ‘boring’ back end tools.”

Protocol hired Business Insider reporter Joe Williams last year to cover enterprise software. Williams has been a senior reporter on Business Insider’s enterprise tech desk covering emerging tech.
