Prosser named Kansas City Business Journal publisher

Stacie Prosser has been named publisher of the Kansas City Business Journal, reports editor Brian Kaberline.

Kaberline writes, “Whitney Shaw, CEO of American City Business Journals Inc., announced the appointment Thursday. The move, effective Jan. 12, brings an experienced, familiar name to the top of the news-gathering operation’s masthead.

“Prosser joined the Business Journal in 1996 as an account executive and became director of advertising in 2012. She succeeds Joyce Hayhow, who is retiring after 23 years as publisher.

“‘The Kansas City Business Journal has been an incredible place to spend the past 18 years, and I’m very excited about the future of our company and the KC business community,'” Prosser said. ‘I’m extremely honored to have been asked to fill this role and look forward to continuing to deliver the quality products and information we’ve become known for over the last 33 years.'”
