Max Willens who initially started as a platforms reporter at Digiday in 2016 has been promoted to the post of senior reporter.
Before coming to Digiday, Willens was a staff writer at IBT Media, where he wrote about the economics of the entertainment business with a heavy focus on the music industry. He also covered music and sports-related marketing and advertising as a contributor for Advertising Age.
Willens also served as a social media strategist at Abrams Research where he developed, oversaw and implemented social media strategies and campaigns for numerous clients. He also served as a blog network manager at Magnet Media Files and prior to that, he was an editor for The Daily Swarm.
Willens received a degree in journalism from CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
