Matt Pressberg, who was covering the business of entertainment for the International Business Times before being laid off at the end of last month, has been hired by The Wrap.
“I’m excited to join TheWrap’s film team, where I’ll continue to cover the business of Hollywood, including the surge of Chinese investment into movie companies and the economics of online video,” said Pressberg in an email to Talking Biz News. “I’ll be based in the Los Angeles newsroom.”
Before joining the International Business Times, Pressberg was previously a finance reporter and managing editor at the Los Angeles Business Journal, and before that worked as a private equity analyst.
He is a graduate of Georgetown University and the Annenberg School of Communication & Journalism at the University of Southern California.
