Politico media reporter Joe Pompeo will join Vanity Fair as senior media correspondent for its business site Hive, the publication announced Monday.
He will start on July 17.
“We could not be more excited to welcome Joe, who, in profound ways, will help us expand our ambitions into media reportage,” said Jon Kelly, editor of the Hive, in a statement. “He’ll be covering the egos and issues that shape the media solar system in a way that we hope will delight our readers, and keep a few of them up at night, too.”
Pompeo was a senior media reporter at Politico and their Morning Media columnist. He previously worked at Yahoo News, Business Insider and The New York Observer.
