We’re pleased to announce that Nick Niedzwiadek will join our labor policy team as a reporter, covering a wide range of employment and immigration issues and helping to steer our Morning Shift newsletter.Nick has held numerous roles for POLITICO for the past five years. He’s been on our breaking news desk since the fall of 2020, delivering political coverage across the election cycle, chronicling fallout from the many waves of Covid-19, helming the Jan. 6 sentencing tracker and occasionally chipping in on West Wing Playbook.During his time in Albany, where he started as an intern in 2016, he covered health care policy, education policy, gambling and all manner of state politics including the Cuomo administration. Nick is a graduate of the University of North Carolina who has also written for the Albany Times Union and The Wall Street Journal.Nick gets started today, reporting to Tax & Labor Editor Toby Eckert.
