Megan Messerly will be joining Politico as a health care reporter covering health policy in the states.
She will be based in Washington, D.C.
Currently, she is a politics and health policy reporter at The Nevada Independent, which she will be leaving on Dec. 17 to join Politico in January.
She was also a political reporter at the Las Vegas Sun and has served as managing editor, executive news editor and city government reporter at The Daily Californian, the student-run daily newspaper in Berkeley, editorially and financially independent from the university.
Additionally, she has interned at the San Francisco Chronicle.
Messerly graduated from the University of California, Berkeley.
