Politico hires deputy tech editor, ag reporter, housing policy reporter

Politico editor Carrie Budoff Brown sent out the following announcement on Monday:

Morning all!

We have a handful of Pro staff announcements to catch up on, and with these openings filled we are just about fully staffed on Pro!

Kyle Daly is joining the Tech team as deputy editor. Kyle comes to us from Bloomberg Law, where he is a senior reporter covering tech and telecom. He previously worked as a reporter at SNL Kagan (now S&P Global Market Intelligence) and is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

Liz Crampton joined POLITICO Pro this month as an agriculture and food policy reporter. Her coverage focuses on conservation, pesticides and agribusiness. Before joining POLITICO, Liz covered antitrust enforcement for Bloomberg BNA, reporting on mergers and investigations by the Justice Department and Federal Trade Commission. She’s a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studied journalism, political science and UNC basketball. Before coming to D.C., she interned at the Charlotte Observer, Tampa Bay Times and Texas Tribune.

Katy O’Donnell will join the Financial Services Team early next month to cover housing-finance policy and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Katy joined Politico in May 2015, working on the Tax Team before moving over to edit the Europe Brief in February 2017. She also dug into some of the conflict-of-interest issues surrounding Trump and Clinton during the presidential campaign. She previously covered tax and budget policy at CQ Roll Call and National Journal.

Thank you,

Carrie,
