Morning folks,
We have several new hires to announce on Pro, filling out some of our key editorial positions as we prepare to cover Washington’s first presidential transition in eight years.
Angela Greiling Keane is joining our team as deputy technology editor. Angela is a veteran of Bloomberg News, where she most recently served as a White House correspondent. She can also wonk out on regulatory issues, having covered transportation and other policy for Bloomberg for a number of years. Angela is a past president of the National Press Club and an all-around pro. She starts at Politico on Sept. 27, and we’re excited to have a sidekick as we dive into the election and transition.
Ted Hesson is joining the Labor and Employment team as a reporter. Ted is a longtime expert on immigration issues, which will help the Labor and Employment team expand coverage in that area. He’s been writing and editing immigration and economic stories for Vice, National Journal, and Upworthy for the past year. Before that, he spent three years as Fusion’s immigration editor. He got his start at local New York publications after graduating from the Columbia School of Journalism. And before he went into journalism, Ted taught English, Spanish and history at a low-income college preparatory high school in Manhattan. Ted starts at the end of this month.
