In this role, he oversaw its credit cards vertical, covering card issuer news, credit card coverage and more.
He also contributed to travel, points and miles, and aviation stories.
In 2013, he started DoubleDutyDaddy.com, a high traffic blog about credit cards, award travel, loyalty programs, deals and family travel. He has also contributed credit card and travel coverage to Forbes and Business Insider.
Ruiz graduated from the University of Miami.
