Pioneer Press biz editor is out

David Brauer of MinnPost.com reports that St. Paul Pioneer Press business editor Doug Iverson is no longer in that position.

Brauer writes, “For the moment, Iverson and Pioneer Press officials have not responded to requests for comment, so I can’t tell you exactly what’s going on. Iverson has had to manage the section through departures of reporters such as Jennifer Bjorhus, who left for the Star Tribune. Iverson will not be joining the Minneapolis-based paper.

“[Update: The Pioneer Press has declined to comment, citing its policy on personnel matters.]

“Iverson became business editor in 2002, succeeding Chris Worthington, who is now an MPR newsroom executive. Iverson had been a Pioneer Press reporter since 1992.”
