Mike Sunnucks, a senior business reporter at the Phoenix Business Journal, is leaving the publication on April 16.
Sunnucks will be joining the Sports Business Journal, which is also owned by American City Business Journals, as a reporter.
He will be covering covering venues (stadiums, arenas, ballparks, etc.) and fan experience.
“Very excited to join a great publication and team,” said Sunnucks.
Sunnucks has been with the Phoenix paper since 2002, and before that worked for ACBJ in Washington from 1997 to 2002. He has also been an adjunct faculty member at the Cronkite School at Arizona State University.
Before ACBJ, Sunnucks worked for Realty Information Group, writing and editing a commercial real estate newswire on the New York City market for the Bethesda, Maryland-based information service.
He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from American University.
