Phoenix Biz Journal names Edgemon its managing editor

Erin Edgemon

The Phoenix Business Journal has named Erin Edgemon its managing editor.

A story on its website states, “Edgemon, who joined the publication on Sept. 14 after relocating to the Phoenix area, is a veteran journalist who was most recently the real estate reporter with the Austin Business Journal, covering commercial and residential development.

“She has held several writing and editing positions during her career, including working as an investigative reporter covering economic development and politics for Alabama Media Group, which publishes The Birmingham News, The Huntsville Times and the Mobile Press-Register. She also previously worked at several publications in Tennessee, including The Daily News Journal in Murfreesboro and The Murfreesboro Post, where Edgemon was business editor from 2006 to 2010.

“Edgemon is responsible for the day-to-day online news operation as well as directing coverage for the Phoenix Business Journal’s weekly print and digital edition. She will work closely with the reporters and Jeff Gifford, the publication’s digital editor, to plan longer-range coverage and specialty publications.”
