The Houston Chronicle has hired Philadelphia Inquirer assistant business editor Paul Bomberger as a metropolitan editor.
Bomberger will manage its coverage of health and medicine, science and the NASA Space Center, transportation and education.
A graduate of Temple University, Bomberger started his career at the Intelligencer Journal, where he spent 15 years as a business reporter and its first business editor.
Bomberger next was an assistant business editor at the Palm Beach Post and deputy business editor at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
