The Philadelphia Business Journal has hired Kevin Donahue as its new managing editor.
A story on its website states, “Most recently, Donahue was senior director of digital editorial operations at Rodale, the Pennsylvania publisher of nationally known magazines like Men’s Health, Runner’s World and Prevention. Rodale was acquired by Hearst in 2018.
“Prior to taking on that position in 2016, Donahue was senior managing editor for Men’s Health for nine years. During his tenure, Men’s Health’s online audience and revenue grew 15-fold.
“‘I’m very excited and pleased to have Kevin join our Philadelphia Business Journal’s newsroom as managing editor,’ said Market President and Publisher Sandy Smith. ‘Both his national and local media experience will certainly add tremendous value for all of our readers.’
“A longtime Philadelphia-area resident, Donahue was director of site operations at Philly.com from 1999 to 2007. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware.”
