Sherisse Pham is joining CNNMoney as a business and tech reporter in Hong Kong.
She has spent the last three years with CNN, including stints launching the website and social channels for “The Lead with Jake Tapper,” and working as a contributing correspondent for CNNi and CNN.
Previous experience includes writing for the New York Times, as well as reporting and producing digital video for ABC News.
Pham has a masters from Columbia, a good grounding in Mandarin and she spent several years freelancing for a range of publications from Beijing, China.
Her appointment will allow CNNMoney to cover the region’s tech stories, from industry giants such as Samsung and Alibaba, to startups that have ambitions to become world leaders.
She will spend some time with the New York team in late September before moving to Hong Kong when her visa comes through.
