Pflanzer promoted to senior health care editor at Insider

Lydia Ramsey Pflanzer has been promoted to senior health care editor at Insider.

She has been a health care editor since June 2020.

Pflanzer joined Business Insider in 2015 as an editorial intern. She was then promoted to the post of pharma/biotech reporter. Later on, she served as the company’s senior reporter and correspondent.

Before joining Business Insider, Pflanzer was a web intern at Popular Science magazine. She was also managing editor at The Daily Northwestern and served as cabin leader at Lutherdale Ministries.

Pflanzer holds a B.S. in journalism from Northwestern University.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
