PEI Media, publisher of Private Equity International, has hired Rich Melville as editorial director U.S., based on the company’s New York offices.
In this new position, Melville will be instrumental in shaping the editorial vision, execution and ways of working for PEI’s publishing portfolio.
He will report to group editorial director Philip Borel in London.
“I’m extremely excited to join the editorial team and look forward to working with colleagues on advancing the mission across the company’s channels and platforms,” said Melville in a statement.
Melville will have direct responsibility for the following publications — Private Equity International, PE Hub, Secondaries Investor, Private Funds CFO, Venture Capital Journal and Regulatory Compliance Watch.
He will also work with the editorial teams servicing the company’s private market verticals, including PERE, Infrastructure Investor and Private Debt Investor.
Melville previously held the position of group editorial director, banking and capital markets, at Arizent, formerly Source Media. In that role, he managed a team of more than 50 journalists at publications such as American Banker, the Bond Buyer, Mergers & Acquisitions, National Mortgage News and Credit Union Journal.
