Emily Peck, a senior reporter at HuffPost covering business, the economy and gender inequality, was among those laid off at the news organization.
Her last day will be March 15.’ Nearly 50 staffers are being laid off after HuffPost’s acquisition by BuzzFeed.
Peck had been at Huffington Post for more than nine years. She has also been the cohost of Slate’s “Money” podcast since May 2018.
She has been a senior reporter since March 2016. Before that, she was executive business editor and managing editor of business coverage at Huffington Post.
Peck previously worked at The Wall Street Journal, where she was an editor overseeing coverage of management and careers, and The American Lawyer.
